To figure the debate about resveratrol and oleic acid, we need to understand how they both work. In our cells, there are amazing molecules called sirtuins. Sirtuins can reverse DNA damage, lengthen our telomeres, and reduce our levels of inflammation.

Resveratrol has been shown in human trials to active sirtuins. So resveratrol switches on the sirtuins, and slams the brakes on aging. But there is a new study that suggests oleic acid may be 10 times as potent as activating our sirtuins.
