Your gut microbiome is closely connected to your immune system. If you compromise your gut, you compromise your health. And one of the most important factors in keeping the microbiota in your gut healthy is to reduce stress in your life. Once you have done that you should make sure you eat a large variety of plants. This is because you will need a large variety of fibers, among other things, to keep your gut bacteria fed and producing short chained fatty acids – which will affect your epigenetics and inhibit HDACs. This will keep inflammations down and prevent a long list of diseases.
