Dr. Mindy’s Notes: 14hr dry fasting – Sun up to Sundown -Fourteen healthy subjects (13 males:1 female) with a mean age of 32 were enrolled in the study. -Daily fasting began at dawn after a predawn breakfast and ended at sunset with a dinner for 30 consecutive days. Fasting occurred without eating or drinking between predawn breakfast and dinner at sunset (lunch, liquids, water, snacks were skipped). There was no calorie restriction, otherwise.
Participants were instructed to continue with their usual diet during their non-fasting hours. -Importantly, these findings occurred in the absence of any calorie restriction and significant weight loss.
